Follow your heart

> Lovitz Family

Brynn Lovitz was still trying to get on her feet after college. Her degree in drama wasn't doing her any good in the real job market, and now that her college sweetheart found a job a thousand miles away, she was alone. She spent a lot of time watching television and daydreaming about being a famous singer.

One of those days, watching television wasn't a total waste of time. She saw a commercial inviting everyone to come to the City Hall Talent Search, where the mayor was looking for entertainment for this season's PortFest.

This is my shot, she thought.

The mayor and two local business owners were there doing the judging. When it was her turn to perform, Brynn was terrified. She thought she might get sick.

But once she got started, the fear just melted away. She got comfortable, and her voice stopped shaking.

They were clearly impressed with her singing, Brynn could tell. They were smiling and nodding, and that meant they liked it...right? They asked her to leave the room while they discussed it.
Cameron O'Connell was hesitant. "She doesn't really have that showbiz quality of a performer, and I don't know if her folk style will go over well."

Mayor Lansing rolled her eyes. "You're just upset because she was wearing too much clothing."

"I really liked her," Olivia DePaul said. "She had a certain charm to her!"

"Let's call her back in," Erica said in agreement.

Brynn was so excited. She couldn't wait to call Marcus and tell him all about her little 'audition."

"And they LIKED it! I will be performing! And I thought that might be a good time for you to visit, so you can see my first real life performance."

"Eh, babe, that's great," Marcus said.

"What's wrong?"

"I just, uh, I don't think I'll be able to make it, that's all. I'm just really busy."

"Oh, okay."

"Look, I've gotta go. Talk to you later babe."

"Bye."

Whenever she talks to Marcus on the phone, their chats are always short and they end up losing relationship points! It kind of put a damper on her success, but she's still really excited!

Brynn Lovitz will be performing at the bi-annual PortFest later this month! :)

  1. Hmm, Brynn maybe should think about looking to audition a new boyfriend as well, the current one doesn't sound so supportive.

  2. Yeah, I've noticed that too! Hopefully big things are in store for her so she'll find someone new. Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment! :D
